Members of the Pink Diamonds Electronic Unit

On Sunday, October 22, 2023, members of the Arkansas Pink Diamonds Electronic Unit of the National Association of Parliamentarians [NAP] hosted their first Chartering Anniversary celebration on the campus of Shorter College in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Friends and family gathered to enjoy a delicious reception and learn the history of the first NAP Unit chartered in the state of Arkansas. The unit evolved from a parliamentary procedures study group facilitated by Fashika Willis-McClelland, PRP. Since its chartering, the unit has won the NAP Circle of Excellence 2021-2023 Membership Extension and Retention Award for Greatest Net Membership Growth in District Six.

Melanie A. Hillard, the inaugural president, recognized the twenty-four charter members and gifted them and their guests with a lovely pink diamond ink pen. District Six Director Lucy Anderson, PRP,  joined the celebration virtually and offered an inspiring challenge to the Pink Diamond members to “Step Up” by becoming even more engaged, through participation, membership growth and obtaining credentialing in NAP. The evening culminated with Dr. Maurecia Robinson presenting a brief parliamentary educational program, which is the primary focus of the unit. The members of the Arkansas Pink Diamonds Electronic Unit look forward to a very diamond bright future.
