District Six WANTS YOU to Take Steps to learn more about how to become a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP).
We are currently developing strategies to actively support Provisional Members interested in pursuing this exciting step toward NAP membership.
Membership involves demonstrating a basic knowledge of the fundamentals of parliamentary law and its application by successfully completing a short exam based on Roberts Rules of Order Newly Revised In Brief (RONR In Brief).
HOW TO APPLY
As outlined on the NAP website, the application process for membership is very straightforward. You are also encouraged to reach out to your unit or association leadership with any concerns you may have.
Follow the steps below to begin the membership process:
- Download and complete a Membership Application.
- Send your completed application and payment for the first-year’s national and state dues to NAP.
- Pass the membership exam with a 80% or better. Use the free Membership Exam Study Guide to prepare.
Once your exam results have been verified, you will be notified that you have passed the exam and are officially a member of NAP.
